"The nature of printmaking and photographic processes compliments my performance of creating due to the unpredictability of the final outcome. From the starting point to the final result, change is inevitable and imperfections are embraced. These primitive analog processes allow the work to gain a sense of authenticity that has been lost in the modern world, as I slowly create my work with my hands and practice dying forms of creation that have been replaced by technology. For many of the processes I use, each piece of work results in a one of a kind unique result that can never be produced exactly the same ever again.

Memories can be experienced over and over again in different ways than the last due to changing perspective and I document this passage of time within an environment and my own life. The performance of creating my work is a delicate dance between past and present memories, knowing and not knowing, as well as a journey of self discovery. It’s a process I hold dear to my heart as I continue to recover my human experience that I once thought to be lost."
